The Bergisch city of Wuppertal has a lively art and culture scene. The Pina Bausch dance theatre has its home in the city. Initially, the choreography produced by this celebrated artiste was controversial, but then a revolution happened in Wuppertal and dance was completely redefined. The programmes of the Teo Otto Theater in Remscheid and the Theater und Konzerthaus in Solingen are equally packed with outstanding cultural experiences.
