  4. The Bergische Weg - The most beautiful hiking trail in Germany 2024

From January to June 2024, people were able to vote in the online voting studio of Wander Magazin. The “Bergische Weg” won out against the 8 other nominated multi-day tours and has therefore earned the title of “Germany's Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2024”.

Stages 4 and 5 of the Bergisch Trail lead through the Bergisch city triangle and offer a unique combination of nature, culture and urban charm. Here, in the centre of the cities of Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid, hikers experience a fascinating mix of impressive industrial monuments, historic old towns and surprisingly green oases. Despite the proximity to the urban centres, you can quickly immerse yourself in the tranquil forests and idyllic valleys that make our region so attractive.

Here you will find the most important information about the Bergischer Weg, including tips along the way.
