They form the joint orchestra of the cities of Remscheid and Solingen - the Bergisch Symphony Orchestra. It’s name not only stands for the highest artistic level but also for musical enjoyment. The ultimate pleasure.
Experience the Bergisch Symphony Orchestra at one of their many performances. They are just as at home at the Teo Otto Theater in Remscheid as they are at the Solingen concert hall. With more than 180 performances, they are one of the busiest orchestras in Germany.
The Bergisch Symphony Orchestra is also famous for activities beyond the orchestra pit. You can hear their music on special occasions in churches and at open air events at marketplaces in the city districts. Their castle serenades in the knight’s hall at Schloss Burg above the Wupper have been legendary for decades.
Children and youths are particularly close to the musicians’ hearts. That is why “Wandelkonzerte” (concerts where the audience is allowed to move around) are also a fixed part of the ensemble’s repertoire. They introduce their instruments and invite the audience to try them out and, of course, also to listen.
